Our Missionary!

There is nothing quite like having a missionary out in the field. There is a special feeling in your home. You miss them terribly, but you wouldn't want them anywhere else. We feel peace and joy and an extra measure of the spirit. We all try to live better, be kinder, and show more love to each other. I beleive that the Lord watches over His missionaries, but I think he is watching over their families also!
This is Elder LeFevre's Stake Pres. and Bishop on the night he was set apart as a missionary! He received a very beautiful blessing. His Heavenly Father know and loves him.

A delicious steak dinner our last night together before he left.
Taking pictures before we dropped him off at the MTC.

The dreaded MTC drop off. This is the line to pull in!
I had to remind him I needed a hug and his Dad just wasn't quick enough. Off he went without a backward glance. He was so excited to serve. Now we live for e-mails:)

Dad's Birthday Celebration

We had a lot of the family here to celebrate Dad's Birthday. It's always fun when you get a bunch of Heap's together! We played Bunco again and ate and laughed! What more could you want?
We really love this man. He has been a source of inspiration to us all. Thanks Dad for a living a great life and for you influence for good!

Christmas Break (a little after the fact)

It all starts with the decorating. It is so much fun to pull out all of our bins of Christmas stuff and transform our house into a Christmas Wonderland. This is usually a family affair. Cameron and Lloyd did help, but lost their enthusiasm after decorating the third tree. Okay, so I may go a little overboard, but I love this time of year. I love the smells, the sounds, the sights, and most of all the special feeling of Christmas. Everyone of our kids were with us for Christmas this year. What could be better than that?
Decorating the candy house is one of our Christmas traditions.
                                              The finished product!
We got up Christmas morning and had breakfast before opening the presents. Scones, eggs, sausage, and hot chocolate. Mmm Mmm Good! A great way to start the day.
Brooklyn's little stocking filled with little socks. I just love little things!

Lloyd was here too, but since he was the camera man he isn't in the pictures. :(
After all this fun we decided to get dressed up and take some family pictures. Sheralee posted the whole family pictures so I am posting some of the shots I took with my new little camera while we were getting our pictures taken.

It was to cold to get Brooklyn out so no baby in our picures.
We had lots of good food, fun and even put some puzzles together!
