All of our kids were somewhere else for Christmas. Mason and Miralva at the Udave's, Sheralee and Casey at the Webbs, Aubree and Jay both had to work the day before and the day after Christmas, and Cameron is on a mission. So that left just Lloyd and I to celebrate at home alone! At first that seemed kind of sad, but we decided to make the most of it.
A prime rib candle light dinner on Christmas Eve to start out our activities. The clean up was so easy with just the two of us. We walked around our neighborhood to look at lights, went on a drive to see more lights, read the Christmas story together and went to bed early. Definitely at little different than most of our Christmas Eve's.
After years and years of the kids begging to get up and their dad telling them to sleep a little longer, guess who wakes me up at 6 ready to get up. Maybe the going to bed early had something to do with that.
We had the Elders who are in our stake over for Christmas Breakfast and then let them use our computers to Skype their families. It was fun to have missionaries in our home.
All in all it was a great Christmas. We did miss our kids, but who better to celebrate with than your best friend and forever partner. Thank goodness the Udave's live so close. Mason, Miralva and Brooklyn came Christmas morning so we got to be with our grandbaby on Christmas!
There is nothing quite like little kids on Christmas morning! We love this sweet little girl!!
Then we got to talk to our baby, (he hates to be called that) who is serving a mission in Kentucky!
This had to be my favorite part of Christmas. The whole family was able to Skype and we got about and hour with our missionary. He looks and sounds soooo good. I love technology! It was great to be able to see and talk to Cameron. He is an amazing missionary!
More family fun!
Lesha got married on December 27th and had her reception at Ruby's Inn so we traveled over and had some more fun family time.

Playing Peek-A-Boo
As you can see we had a great time while we were there. Ice skating, cross country skiing, hiking at Bryce and at mossy caves. We live in a beautiful part of the world. It was fun to see everything covered in snow. I was sad to see the end of December come!
Empty nester status is very different isn't it! Of course we still have our cute kids in the basement so we are hanging on to them as long as we can:) Love having the kids around, but also love having time with Brian all to myself. Life is good! I loved your pictures and it made me realize we need to go see Bryce in the snow. So beautiful!
