Kentucky.... as promised!

We took 10 days and headed off to Kentucky to visit Cameron’s mission. Kentucky is a beautiful place. It is so lush and green. We loved driving on the winding roads and rolling hills, through the lush horse ranches, and shady lanes, but I think what we enjoyed most was meeting the people that Cameron loves and that love him right back. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.. Lloyd called it 10 days of home teaching. I guess that isn’t really a bad thing because we truly felt like everyone shared something special with us. I guess they did, and that was Cameron:)

We picked up our rental car at the airport and after stopping by at the mission office we hit the road. Our destination.......Madisonville Kentucky. The drive their was our first taste of the beautiful Kentucky scenery.

This is Earl one of the people Cameron was able to teach and baptize. We loved him and could tell how much he loved Cameron. What a sweet experience to visit his home and take him out to dinner.

Cameron wanted to do as many of the things that he did on his mission as we could. We spent the morning at the mercy center doing service. Cameron helped there once a week while he was in Paoli.

Next we headed to Louisville. Cameron never served right in the city but there were some things we wanted to do there. One was a session in the temple.

2nd- visit Church Hill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby
