Alaska here we come!

Lloyd served his mission in Alaska and loved it. A few years ago we were able to go on a fishing trip with Sharla and Brian and visit part of his mission. We loved it! Earlier this year Lloyd started thinking of a convert of his, Sam Gibson, and felt like he needed to contact him. Thanks to facebook and his daughter he was able to get in touch with him and a plan was made to go to visit him. He has also been wanting to go to the Anchorage temple. I said as long as we were up there we needed to plan a few other fun things. And he did! We were able to spend about a week up there. It was an incredible trip. Alaska is a beautiful place and time with Lloyd makes everything wonderful. We left on my last day of school. We flew out of Las Vegas, had a lay over in Portland and landed in Anchorage Alaska at 1:30 a.m.
The beautiful flowering tree's outside our motel room!
Is that a mosquito? Yikes
We rented a tandem bike and rode on a 22 mile coastal bike trail in Anchorage. It was lots of fun and the scenery was incredible!

Everything is bigger in Alaska, even dandylions:)
 Shopping downtown with the locals....

Lunch break at a beautiful park!
30 + years and we found one of his mission apartments!
A beautiful evening attending the temple!
Does it ever get dark here?
The next day we decided to hike Flat top mountain in Anchorage. On our way to the trail head we ran into this guy!
